I use a broad base of styles and use a trauma-informed approach drawing on my training in child and adolescent psychotherapy, family therapy and psychodynamic informed approach. I feel passionate about the privilege of listening to people’s stories and through this interaction help people move towards more satisfying, creative and positive ways to live and interact with others.

I am open, warm and patient, giving space for people’s stories to unfold in a safe and gentle manner. I focus on building a strong and trusting relationship between myself and clients to assist in the counselling process.

I am good at building rapport with people and taking the time to understand their beliefs and experiences.

I have travelled and lived in a number a countries over my life and have a great appreciation of different cultures and ways of life. Through my travels I have become involved with developing programs to improve the mental health and well-being of marginalised and traumatised children, young people and adults in China, India and Nepal.

I have learnt that knowledge can make a huge difference in people’s lives. It enables different choices and ways of understanding that can free people from old and unhelpful ways of being.
